Introduce Yourselves Here

Postby JohnnyCallaghan » Thu Feb 17, 2011 4:10 pm

Hi folks,
thought it'd be good to have a thread where people can introduce themselves to the "king blues forum community" or whatever you want to call it :)

I've probably seen/spoken to a few people at the Garage last Saturday anyway.

Good idea. I didn't speak to many people at the Garage (apart from one guy who asked if I was at Shepherds Bush last year)...so I guess here goes..

My name's Michael, I'm 17 (18 in June), I'm currently in my second year of a BTEC Media Studies course at college. I attend plenty of gigs and my taste in music is very widely open. I also review CDs I get sent and review the gigs I go too. I live in London. I guess that's the basics!

Hey, I'm Lee and I'm 23 from Stevenage in Hertfordshire. Saw King Blues for the first time at the Garage and have my ticket for Koko pinned to my wall waiting to go, loved the show and came genuinely blown away by the songs. I play in bands mostly when I'm not at work or whatever.

My name is Jessica, I'm 17, and I live near Leeds.
I first heard of The King Blues when I saw them at an ever-growing festival in Bingley in '08. Which was fantastic.
I write reviews in my spare time and attempt gig photography. I'm a bit of a film buff and I'm very grateful for Orange Wednesdays. I listen to a lot of indie music and bands that formed before I was born.

My name's Martin, I'm from Hertfordshire, I'm almost 19 years old and I hate The King Blues. Not really, I love them :D I've seen them 3 times, the first was when they supported Enter Shikari (another one of my favourite bands) in February 2010 and then again at their own show in April 2010, and the 3rd time was last week at the Garage. I've loved this band ever since mid/late 2008 when I saw My Boulder on Kerrang and I've just been hooked ever since. I've constantly tried to support this band and spread the word as far out as possible because they really are fucking incredible and people need to hear them and their message. I met Itch, Jamie and Fruitbag in 2009 when I spotted them chilling out in the crowd of an Enter Shikari concert and they were safe guys..I felt kinda bad for just pestering them during their free time but hey, if you had the chance to meet absolute legends, you'd take it up too 8-)

Hi I'm Sean from Hertfordshire. First saw King Blues at GIAN 09, after that I've been to every London gig they've played, oh and Essex. And I will continue doing that since I go to so many concerts haha. I'm usually very close to the front of the queue. Gigs are just a passion of mine, really. All over now I've seen them 9 times now. They're also good mates with my favourite all time band, Enter Shikari, haha. So it all works well together.

Whatsup! Im Christian from Pen Llyn, North Wales.
I work all around the world on a Tug vessel which is a sick job!!
I found the king blues back in 2007/8 I think, not sure. They were supporting Slightly Stoopid in Manchester and were absolutely banging!!
Been keen on them ever since and a die-hard fan. Gonna see them in Wrexham as long as my shifts dont change!
Peace

Think that might have something slightly to do with Enter Shikari's fan base influence, what with them coming from Herts. Its a cool place :)

Haha yeah probably, it's kinda weird how Enter Shikari and The King Blues are somewhat associated with each other now, even though they're good mates with each other. It'd be sick to hear Rou on a KB track/Itch on an ES track!
