Animals
You think you know about animal torture,
because you've been told by some callous reporter
about how drug companies
are making new discoveries
and they're trying to find a cure for cancer.
They use their emotional lever,
and know her words will make you believe her:
they're just animals,
mere collateral -
after all, we all take paracetamol, don't we?
It's a social monopoly.
Raise us to believe that their drugs heal
while always ensuring the reality's concealed.
The reporter's easy smile doesn't fool me,
nor does her third class BA from some poor university,
and I don't believe in what she tells me,
'cause when animals aren't just being killed...
When dogs are being pumped full of drugs
until their body's shaking,
mouth's foaming and
they're not even inoculated;
when they can't stand up
and they're chewing their tongue,
'cause they're starved and going mad and all their dignity's gone;
eyes rolling, skin crawling, lips pulled back past their gums,
and locked up in some cage as if they've done something wrong.
These aren't paedophiles, they're animals,
they're more innocent than you and me,
but compared to their torture, Ian Huntley's walking free.
So when I'm told it's the lesser evil
for the benefit of a cure that doesn't exist
by some media ignoramus,
or some jumped up scientist.
Last that I heard, dogs were a different species -
I might understand if you were trying to cure fleas -
but it's for your own selfish cause that animals endure this torment,
and therein your lack of conviction makes itself evident.

symbols can simply never be the things they stand for, whilst its always man who proposes its your "god" who disposes, what right do they have, invasion, conflict, murder. These streets will never be truely ours but we can sure as fuck give it a go. Its time to change this mirage, move the matching shoes and suits out of the spot light and reclaim, theres no box, there never was.
