Action

Do you think about your future? Are you worried about Jobs, Money, Your environment and Your education. Do you want to make a change from the norm in your town and stand up for what this generation knows is right? Then we need your help!

We are Youth4Action a new activist organisation who want change for the future. We want to combat the horrors of the world we live in and make a change for the future. Our future.

We want to protest and make change on issues like:

Uni Fees

•How many of you can afford to go to Uni?
•Currently the minimum is £2,000 a Year and although this is the minimum most are in excess of £3,000
•Even these fees cause huge student debts and put a huge strain on the already failing economic system.
•Despite this the government are thinking of raising the minimum to £6,500 a year. With some top universities able to charge £11,000
•Experts have calculated that this could cause an average student debt of £32,462.
•This is an amount of money that some can simply not afford and thus people will be unable to go to university for the reason of money.
•With the Jobs system as it is it will mean you can’t afford to live without a degree because you will not be able to be employed but you can’t live with one as the debt is too great.
•This then prices the less fortunate out of education and means only the rich can afford the top jobs widening social gaps.
•WE WISH TO FIGHT FOR A FREEZE OF UNIVERSITY FEES AND BETTER BENEFITS FOR THOSE WHO CANNOT AFFORD UNIVERSITY.

OUR Environment

•Our existence on this planet is in doubt.
•Factories pump tonnes and tonnes of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere fuelling the greenhouse effect.
•Over use of cars and casual use of high polluting 4X4’s add to the pollution of the atmosphere and the rapid warming of our planet.
•Science has proved this but money spurs governments and corporations on to doing this. Knowing that they will be long gone when the real troubles hit.
•Green energy is not being used even though we have the technology. The older generation do not want the Change
•WE WANT TO ABOLISH THE USE OF 4X4’s IN BUILT UP AREAS. ENCOURAGE THE USE OF GREEN FUELS, ELECTRIC CARS AND SOLAR PANNELS AND FIGHT FOR HIGHER ROAD TAX FOR CARS WITH A HIGH ‘MPG’

Public Transport

•How many people use cars instead of our public transport because it is not run adequately?
•Thousands commute to work every day by car simply because it’s cheaper and more comfortable. Can we blame them!
•Our public transport is a mess. Trains are late, Busses break down and we have to put up with uncomfortable and sometimes repulsive conditions.
•Prices also are a shame to this country when we pay some for the highest prices in Europe for this shoddy service.
•With it costing over £3,000 a year just to travel to London Victoria from Maidstone east it is no wonder why many commuters choose the cheaper and more comfortable option of driving.
•WE WANT TO FIGHT FOR A CHEAPER, MORE RELIABLE TRANSPORT SYSTEM TO REDUCE NEEDLESS ROAD POLLUTION, FREE TRAVEL FOR UNDER 18’S AND STUDENTS TO REDUCE THE NEED FOR MORE CARS ON THE ROADS.

Finance

•We are all feeling the pinch recently and know that we will suffer in the future from the problems the older generation have left us with.
•We will be expected to pay for this recession and it was not our doing.
•In a recent budget Alistair Darling showed us how he will take the brunt of the recession out on ordinary people by announcing ‘efficiency savings’ on public services of £35 Billion.
•This means cuts to hospitals, schools and other vital services. It means job losses and pay freezes.
•This is all whilst the Sunday Times Rich List reveals that the 1,000 richest in this country are worth £258 billion.
•Darling said that he will raise taxes on those earning over £100,000 to 50 percent. But this barely touches their ill-gotten gains.
•WE WANT THESE PEOPLE TO BE TAXED EVEN MORE HIGHLY SO THE RICH WHO CAUSED THE RECESSION HAVE TO SUFFER THE BRUNT OF IT. THIS ALONG WITH REDUCTION OF MILITARY FUNDING COULD BE USED TO FUND OUR JOBS AND SERVICES AND HELP BAIL OUT OF FAILING BANKS RATHER THAN TAXATION OF THE POOR.

So what’s our generation going to do about it? Sit back and let them mess up the world for us to inherit? Or are we going to make our “wise” politicians listen? It’s your decision. Join us and help our future or let it be destroyed before you can begin to plan it out. Whatever it is you want to do with your future, all of our points affect it. Apathy won’t save you. You can’t hide from this. It’s happening. We may just be “kids” but we’re more important than our planets current guardians. Our thoughts must be heard.

Take a stand.

Have your say.

Make a change.

Join Youth4Action today and you can see just how much noise one common voice can make.

Because when the Government stops listening we have to shout loud to be heard!!
If you want any infomation or have any questions please email me or ask me in person. Thanks
